Developed by daughter-father team Sofia and Llewellyn, Wild Witch is underpinned by rigorous scientific understanding – and lived experience. At its heart is the desire to develop proactive skincare that makes you feel your most powerful. 

Our smarter synergistic formulations are designed to address multiple pathways, providing a comprehensive approach to skin support and longevity. They enrich and protect skin to promote a naturally luminous look, with a focus on hydrating, visibly plumping, and softening the appearance of fine lines. 

Wild Witch is built for balance. We don’t bow to ‘less is more’ or ‘more is more’, or believe in ‘only natural’ purity or the ‘best new’ actives. Instead, we have developed a scientifically driven process; real-life testing and a multi-modal approach to creating targeted products that work. 

We’ve chosen the best natural and naturally derived ingredients at levels proven to be effective for ageing skin. These actives work synergistically across multiple pathways to deliver skincare greater than the sum of its parts, delivering active-infused rituals that make you feel glowy, confident and powerful. Because if it doesn’t work, what’s the point! 

Our story

Sofia Casbolt is a chemist and anthropologist who is deeply invested in generational knowledge transfer and passionate about working on developing products that work, particularly for women facing transitional change.

Maven cosmetic chemist Llewellyn Casbolt has over 35 years’ experience in bringing products to market. Llew has co-authored peer-reviewed research published in Cell BioScience, Redox Biology and Frontiers in Pain Medicine and was an adjunct fellow at Macquarie University’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences for more than seven years.

Sofia and Llewellyn started working on Wild Witch in 2025:

Sofia:

“I’m 38, and noticing distinct changes in my complexion; my skin no longer behaves the way it used to and the skincare I have used for years no longer helps – in fact, some of it makes things worse.

Today’s skincare is all about buzzwords and single-active products, which tend to fill your cupboard with so many products that you can barely remember which one to use when, let alone have the time to apply them all! Plus, I can’t afford to buy ceramide in one product, niacinamide in another, peptides in a third…

I couldn't buy what I wanted, so we made it ourselves. We’ve formulated a small but powerful range for women like me whose skin is changing, those struggling with dry skin, breakouts at 40, speckled sun damage and all the signs of ageing. And here we are, with a collection that supports skin to age better, combines all the right things at the right concentrations, specially curated for skin that’s done behaving.”

What’s in a name? 

Wild Witch pays homage to the power of women and the wisdom of those who have gone before us: the mystics, sages, alchemists, and healers, powerful practitioners who passed down their knowledge through generations. 

There is a wildness to these years, this age. A recognition of our true selves returning, a raw, unfiltered reaction to later life. It is also a nod to the natural world and to the raw ingredients we use to formulate these products.
